Changing Market

Things in Western Montana are changing quickly. Home prices that were rising for several years have begun to stabilize. Interest rates that were very low for many years have risen sharply making it more difficult for people to afford to buy a home. This has put some pressure on prices. However, the demand for homes in the area has not slowed down and new construction can be seen in many communities. NAR and several other national organizations predict a fairly flat market for 2023. The employment situation in Montana will certainly play a major factor going forward as most local businesses grapple with hiring more employees.

Here are several links to reports published by major groups on the 2023 housing outlook.
